1. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
All paid Shipanel plans include a 14-day money-back guarantee.
If you are not satisfied with Shipanel for any reason within 14 days of your initial purchase, we will refund your money in full, no questions asked.
2. How to Request a Refund
2.1 Contact Support

- Your name
- Email address associated with your account
- Order date or invoice number
- Brief reason for your refund request (optional but helpful)
2.2 Refund Eligibility
You are eligible for a refund if:
- You purchased a Shipanel paid plan (Pro or higher) within the last 14 days
- You have not yet used more than 50% of the included monthly explanations
- This is your first refund request
You are NOT eligible for a refund if:
- More than 14 days have passed since your purchase
- You have used more than 50% of included explanations
- You have requested a refund within the last 12 months
- Your account was terminated due to violation of our Terms of Service
3. Refund Processing
3.1 Timeline
- We will respond to refund requests within 2 business days
- Once approved, refunds are processed to your original payment method
- Refunds typically appear in your account within 5-7 business days (depending on your bank)
3.2 Refund Amount
- Monthly plans: Full refund of your monthly charge
- Annual plans: Full refund of your annual charge, prorated if you've had access for part of the year
Example: If you purchased an annual plan for $588 and request a refund after 7 days:
- You're eligible for a full refund: $588
4. Cancellation vs. Refund
4.1 Cancellation (No Refund)
You can cancel your Shipanel subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- Monthly plans: Cancelled at the end of the current month
- Annual plans: Cancelled at the end of the current year
Cancellations after the 14-day refund period are not refunded, but your account will not be charged for future billing periods.
4.2 Refund Request (14 Days Only)
A refund request is different from cancellation. Refunds are only available within 14 days of purchase and include a full refund of charges paid.
5. Pro Plan Details
5.1 What's Included
The Pro plan includes:
- Unlimited code explanations
- Up to 3 developers
- Up to 3 GitHub repositories
- Up to 3 projects
- Email support
5.2 Free Trial vs. Paid Plan
- Free tier: Always free with limited features (1 free explanation per account)
- Pro plan: $49/month or $588/year after free tier
You are only eligible for a refund on paid Pro plans, not on the Free tier.
6. Billing and Charges
6.1 Recurring Billing
- Monthly Pro plans renew automatically each month on the same date
- Annual Pro plans renew automatically each year on the same date
- You will receive a reminder email 7 days before renewal
6.2 Preventing Future Charges
To prevent future charges:
- Cancel your subscription from your account settings, OR
- Request a refund within 14 days of initial purchase
If you do not cancel, you will be charged for renewal periods.
6.3 Failed Payments
- If your payment method fails, we will attempt to retry billing
- Repeated failed payments may result in account suspension
- Late fees or interest may apply depending on your payment terms
7. Special Circumstances
7.1 Account Issues
If you experienced a technical issue with Shipanel that prevented you from testing the service, contact us at hey@shipanel.com. We may grant an exception to the 14-day refund window.
7.2 Organizational Changes
If your company circumstances changed (e.g., you no longer need the service), email us. While not guaranteed, we may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
7.3 Support Issues
If you had difficulty getting support or understanding Shipanel, we encourage you to contact us before requesting a refund. We may be able to help.
8. Refund Disputes
If you have a dispute about a refund decision:
- Reply to our email — Explain why you believe you should qualify for a refund
- Escalation — We'll review your case and respond within 5 business days
- Arbitration — Unresolved disputes are handled per our Terms of Service
9. No Recurring Refunds
- Refunds are a one-time guarantee upon initial purchase
- You cannot request a refund for each billing cycle
- Once a refund is processed, that account is ineligible for future refunds within 12 months
10. Account Data After Refund
10.1 Data Retention
Upon refund and account closure:
- Your dashboard and explanations will be permanently deleted
- Code diffs are never stored (already deleted per Privacy Policy)
- Account data is deleted within 30 days
10.2 Reactivation
If you reactivate your Shipanel account after a refund:
- You will start fresh with a new account
- Previous dashboard data will not be recovered
- You will again be eligible for the 14-day refund guarantee
11. Tax and Payment Processing
11.1 Taxes
- Refunds are processed as credit to your original payment method
- Tax implications vary by jurisdiction; you are responsible for your tax obligations
- Refunds do not include taxes paid (consult a tax professional if needed)
11.2 Payment Processor
- Refunds are processed through Stripe (our payment processor)
- Stripe's fee schedule may apply
